How a round works.
Schedule, debate, picks and pools — the whole ring in four sections.
Schedule
Rounds start every 30 minutes on the clock (UTC :00 and :30). Picks and stakes close at minute 20 — the lock. The round settles at minute 30.
The debate
When a round opens, the server reads the last hour of 1-minute and the last day of hourly Coinbase candles, computes momentum, range, volatility and volume pace, and has Claude Opus 5.5 write both cases from those numbers only. Everyone sees the same debate for a round.
Picks
A pick is a personal_sign over the round, market, side, time and your address. It's valid if signed before the lock. It wins if the close is on your side of the lock price.
Pools
DuelPool.sol holds USDC per side for each (round, market). Winners split the full pot pro rata, less a 2.5% fee. Ties and one-sided rounds refund in full with no fee. If a round isn't settled within 24 hours of its end, anyone can call refundStale.
